Position Summary:

This role is responsible for coordinating contributions from various departments within the organization and its partners for Transmission Service and Generation Interconnection requests, adhering to regulatory guidelines and reliability standards. The position involves managing communications with all relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and precise responses to requests.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is preferred, with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with planning, design, operation, and maintenance of substations and transmission lines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of transmission systems, engineering principles, construction practices, land regulations, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess progress, identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and determine feasible solutions.
  • Experience with the generator interconnection process is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Understanding of utility transmission and/or distribution systems.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in managing and prioritizing extensive workloads.
  • Familiarity with accounting procedures related to project expenditures and budgeting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and embraces continuous learning.

  • Coordinate inputs from various teams to formulate comprehensive responses to interconnection requests.
  • Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate budgeting and cost management for interconnection upgrades.
  • Draft and manage interconnection agreements and related documentation per regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee interconnection programs and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Participate in the review of interconnection and transmission service requests.
  • Maintain documentation to track project progress and ensure service commitments are met.
  • Provide regular updates on project status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in storm response activities as required.
