Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a qualified Truck Driver CDL A Daily to join our team in Amsterdam, NY. As a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to Long Island, NY, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
