Are you a leader who can inspire and motivate young people? Do you have experience working with youth in a residential setting? We are seeking a qualified Cadre Supervisor to join our team at the Bluegrass Challenge Academy.

Job Summary:

The Cadre Supervisor will be responsible for supervising Cadre I and II employees, as well as overseeing the daily activities of enrolled youth during the 22-week residential phase of the Youth ChalleNGe program. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and evaluate Cadre I and II employees
  • Oversee daily activities of enrolled youth
  • Recommend hire and dismissal actions for Cadre and subordinate staff
  • Coordinate staff training and performance evaluations
  • Conduct initial cadet discipline and recommend dismissal actions
  • Prepare cadet and platoon performance reports
  • Monitor staff activities, uniforms, and cadet interactions to ensure policy and procedures are consistent with national and academy goals
Requirements:
  • High school graduate
  • Two years of experience in a youth residential program or military experience
  • Valid driver's license and Class B Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsement or DOL bus training certification
  • Ability to maintain required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials
Working Conditions:

This position typically works in a residential or school-based setting and may require working at off-site locations. The employee may be exposed to hazards and dangers associated with operating a motor vehicle while providing transportation services.
