We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team as the Managing Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $115,000 to $135,000.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day accounting function, including AR, AP, Bookkeeping, Reconciliation, Payroll, and Monthly/Annual Closing.
- Partner with the Executive Director of Finance and Planning to maintain data integrity and security in financial systems.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, state CDE regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Implement effective and efficient financial systems and tools to meet the operational and financial needs of the accounting environment.
- Lead and supervise a team to achieve excellence in all aspects of the accounting function.
- 4-6+ years management experience in Accounting or/and Finance with at least two direct reports.
- 2-3+ years in public accounting with experience in audit engagement management.
- CPA certification required.
- 1-2 years' experience with nonprofit accounting and reporting; emphasis in government reporting standards.
- Proven track record leading in the following areas: Financial Reporting, Federal and State Grants Management, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cash Management, General Ledger, Payroll, and Systems implementation.
- Project management experience in financial systems and procedures implementation.
- Advanced excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Major.
- Master of Accountancy/MBA preferred.
- Desired experience with K-12 public education.
