Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Service Leader

Are you looking for a challenging role in the automotive industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic Service Leader to join our team at JAM Best One Fleet Service.

Job Summary:

This position will be accountable for overseeing day-to-day operations within the service bays and performing fast, accurate, high-quality mechanical service on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with store leadership team on incoming jobs
  • Managing and ensuring all mechanical service(s) are completed in a timely manner
  • Customer communication and interaction
  • Writing up estimates and work orders and communicating with clients/customers
  • Calling on parts quotes and ordering parts for jobs
  • Maximizing profitability and productivity
  • Training and developing service technicians in preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Performance communications with technicians
  • Controlling inventory levels on parts
  • Running Service calls as needed
  • Assisting or completing mechanical service(s) in shop as needed
  • Assisting store leaders at the front counter as needed

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience servicing automotive, commercial truck, or farm vehicles.
  • Must have at least 1 year of management experience
  • You must have a current valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Able to lift 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and crawl while operating equipment and tools
  • Must also be at least 21 years old
