Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists and work with children to diagnose and treat communication disorders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine the nature and severity of speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide therapy to students to improve their communication skills, including language, articulation, fluency, and voice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Virginia state licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Experience working with children with communication disorders.
  • Experience working in schools preferred, but not required.
