Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Dietary Manager to lead our food service team at Laurel Health Care Ohio Dayton Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care and service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring that all meals are appetizing and nutritious.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and to ensure that all food is prepared and served safely.
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management: Manage the purchasing and inventory of food and supplies, ensuring that all items are ordered and stored in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement: Monitor and improve the quality of food service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including nursing and activities, to ensure that the dietary needs of our residents are met.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification or current enrollment in a certification course approved by the Dietary Managers Association.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prefer two-year supervised food service experience in an institutional setting focused on planning, preparing, and servicing regular and therapeutic diets.
