Master Electrician

George J Hayden Inc is a family-owned electrical contractor dedicated to providing state-of-the-art solutions for all types of electrical needs.

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Master Electricians to join our team in commercial and industrial settings. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and control devices.

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lay out, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment
• Perform all types of wire terminations
• Troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of electrical materials and tools
• Analyze, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Mentor apprentices and helpers; monitor work progress
• Accurately code timecards and complete time and material sheets as required
• Collaborate with other electricians or tradespeople on jobsites

Requirements:

• High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
• Journeyperson certificate or 7 years equivalent work experience
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Supervise assigned crew to complete projects accurately and thoroughly
• Working knowledge of current National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E
• Proficiency in testing electrical systems using testing devices and meters
• Ability to identify wire colors and perform physically demanding tasks
• Capable of operating two-handed tools, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.

Working Conditions:

• Jobsite visits may require lifting not to exceed 50 pounds, standing, bending, or reaching for extended periods
• Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and nights may be required
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
• Ability to frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
