The Simulator Maintenance Technician II is responsible for utilizing extensive technical expertise to address intricate challenges by interpreting relevant technical documents and schematics.
Key Responsibilities- Employs a thorough understanding of technical principles to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Demonstrates proficiency through consistent and progressive performance as a radio frequency (RF) technician, with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the maintenance and support of high-power RF transmitter, receiver, and antenna systems, or four (4) years in electronic systems repair, complemented by an FCC Amateur Radio Technician license or higher.
- Conducts tasks such as component replacement, circuit wiring, and repair of sophisticated electronic devices, utilizing standard testing instruments including digital multimeters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Possesses knowledge of computer systems and operations, effectively functioning in a technology-rich environment.
- Requires an understanding of circuit interrelationships and the ability to plan work sequences judiciously while selecting appropriate tools and testing equipment.
- May offer mentorship to junior technicians.
- Performs thorough preventive and corrective maintenance on simulation equipment.
- Available to work various shifts and weekends as required by contract obligations.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Pay Rate: The compensation for this role is $48.79, along with additional pay in lieu of time off as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Valiant considers multiple factors, including market data, internal equity, and the candidate's experience and qualifications when making an offer.

Qualifications- Minimum of four (4) years of simulator maintenance experience, with a completion of a two (2) year Electronics Technician program from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Experience in networking and maintenance of simulator computer systems or systems of similar complexity.
- Preferred candidates should possess an Information Assurance (IA) certification of A+ or higher.
- Must be a US citizen, capable of obtaining a US passport, and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a minimum of a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
