Role Overview

The Sleep Consultant will enhance the customer’s in-store experience by serving as a trusted authority on sleep and providing top-tier products. Sleep Consultants will implement Mattress Firm’s sales strategies and support a cohesive omni-channel experience to create an engaging environment centered around the customer.

Foster an environment where the customer is always prioritized by building strong relationships Offer expert product knowledge and technical information to customers Drive personal sales performance and key performance indicators while embodying company values Implement current visual merchandising and promotional standards Adhere to company merchandising and marketing guidelines Maintain customer relationships throughout and after the purchase process (e.g., addressing issues, sending reminders, resolving concerns, etc.) Embrace constructive feedback for ongoing personal and professional development Continue to enhance skills and product knowledge through assigned training and development activities Stay informed about competitors, promotions, and services offered, and develop strategies to respond effectively Utilize social media to positively influence brand recognition and boost sales Ensure timely opening and closing of the store Follow all company procedures regarding cash handling and payment processing Ability to lift and assist customers with products weighing up to 50 pounds Adhere to all sales processing policies to ensure accurate customer invoicing Maintain professional communication and representation of the company brand in all interactions Complete all required training modules and certifications in a timely manner Ensure compliance with safety policies to maintain a secure work environment for all Communicate effectively with all internal and external contacts Follow all company policies regarding appearance and brand representation Report any concerns or issues to management to ensure operational efficiency
