We are seeking a Data Engineer in support of a federal agency customer. This position requires an active top-secret security clearance and the ability to work onsite in the DC metro area. With customer approval, a hybrid schedule will be available.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will perform data access analysis, develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implement databases in a data warehouse environment. Responsibilities include data design, database architecture, and metadata repository creation. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions, defining, designing, and building dimensional and relational databases. Additionally, they will develop data warehousing blueprints, evaluate hardware and software platforms, and integrate systems. Reviews and develops object and data models and the metadata repository to structure data for better management and quicker access.

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Must have SQL experience with advanced queries
  • Experience with Databricks in AWS
  • Experience with Data Warehouse / Data Lakes a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work.
  • Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day.
  • May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted.
  • Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes.
  • Hearing, speaking, and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
