Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various maintenance operations and responsibilities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards. A collaborative spirit, proactive approach, and minimal need for supervision are essential traits.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently operate all necessary plant repair tools while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Effectively communicate process variables to supervisors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of plant personnel.
  • Willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends as required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional planning and organizational skills; maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Implement and follow a comprehensive preventative maintenance program across the facility.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with maintenance staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
  • Thrive under pressure while managing maintenance operations in a facility with varying hours.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, understanding the complexities of production processes.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to alert management of potential machinery issues.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
  • Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders up to 40 feet high.
  • Capability to stand for approximately 75% of the workday.
  • Frequent squatting and kneeling.
  • Good manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
  • Strong visual acuity.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley process controls and logic.
  • Understanding of hydraulic control systems.
  • Basic and advanced skills in electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of basic welding and cutting operations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and prints.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Competence in basic computer operations.

Working Environment:

The candidate must be prepared to work in a manufacturing setting that may have high dust levels and require working in confined spaces, elevated areas, and high-temperature environments.
