Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island, NE.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering physical therapy programs that help patients recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.

You will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for patients affected by injury or disease, utilizing tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following established safeguards.

A key aspect of this position is documenting patient information for evaluation, establishing therapeutic plans, and modifying them as necessary. You will also educate patients and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.

This role requires knowledge of age-related treatments and evaluations, as well as current research practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility in accepting variable work schedules/assignments and participate in activities promoting the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health.

You may be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services. This role also involves ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise determined by department leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to patients.
  • Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for patients.
  • Document patient information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans.
  • Educate patients and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises.
  • Supervise assistants, aides, and students as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
  • Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $34.50 - $57.00 per hour, with a weekly hours requirement of 40.00 hours. Additionally, the Good Samaritan Society offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and work/life balance benefits.
