Position Overview

Summary

The Behavioral Support Technician is tasked with implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions for clients, utilizing effective techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones. The primary objective is to foster desired behaviors, diminish unwanted actions, continuously evaluate motivation, enhance social interactions, and gather pertinent data. Behavioral Support Technicians organize the environment, track progress, and document essential information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct ABA interventions employing proven methodologies
  • Develop session plans to engage clients effectively
  • Gather, record, and analyze data regarding client development
  • Maintain a conducive treatment environment
  • Accurately report on client progress
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members
  • Stay informed on the latest ABA research and practices
  • Prepare for RBT certification
  • Execute assigned responsibilities diligently

Supervisory Duties

This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

This position necessitates various physical activities, including sitting, standing, running, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, and walking. Candidates must possess the ability to hear, communicate verbally, and maintain visual acuity.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time role, typically scheduled from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Educational background or training in early childhood development
  • Experience in providing ABA services to individuals with autism
  • Completion of RBT training and certification
  • High School Diploma/GED, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree required
