We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Therapist to join our team at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas. As a key member of our behavioral health clinical team, you will provide essential mental health services to students in the K-12 school setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mental health screening, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals, families, and groups.
- Collaborate with school personnel, medical, and behavioral health teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct interviews to assess social and emotional capabilities, physical and mental impairments.
- Consult with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
- Counsel individuals or family members regarding behavior modifications, rehabilitation, and social adjustments.
- Develop and lead activities to enhance social development of individual students and staff.
- Provide support to patients in multiple locations/districts.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain accurate, timely, and clear medical record documentation.
- Possession of a valid Kansas license as LSCSW, LCPC, LCMFT, LCP, or LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LMLP.
- Two years of experience in an outpatient clinic, preferred.
- Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patient-and employee-base.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office products and the Internet.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Salary and BenefitsLMSW, LPC, LMFT, LMLP starts at $50,000 per year. The Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
