Job Overview

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team in Coupeville, WA. As a key member of our educational team, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters communication and engagement.
  • Participate in meetings with parents, staff, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and needs.
Requirements
  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Washington state.
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
