Position Overview:
The primary objective of the Warehouse Operations Specialist role is to deliver administrative, logistical, and quality assurance support within the warehouse environment.

This position is essential for ensuring that quality shipments are dispatched punctually by managing the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials within or adjacent to the warehouse or work site, while executing the following responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Interprets pick lists and other documentation or adheres to verbal instructions to determine materials or pallets that require movement.
  • Manually loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
  • Operates forklifts to assist in loading trucks and relocating materials, pallets, and products, employing strapping or bracing techniques to prevent movement or damage during transit as necessary.
  • Verifies that incoming goods' part numbers and quantities correspond with delivery notes and bills of lading, ensuring no damage is present. Labels incoming items with appropriate receiving tags.
  • Coordinates and schedules outbound shipments to various destinations utilizing multiple transport modes (ground and air as applicable) when required.
  • Collaborates closely with internal departments and domestic and international carriers (ground and air) to facilitate and monitor the movement of products and packages, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations. Secures necessary shipping information for export shipments.
  • Manages all aspects of shipping and receiving documentation (including Commercial Invoices, Delivery Notes, customs declarations, and export order documentation) and provides these documents to relevant parties to ensure prompt clearance, accurate duty payments, and successful delivery completion.
  • Maintains transportation and distribution protocols to enhance efficiency and selects optimal methods to reduce costs while maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Rectifies any incorrect information that may hinder transmission and consults with freight forwarders for guidance when necessary.
  • Engages in activities aligned with ISO 9001 quality standards, contributing to Contec's quality objectives.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

HazMat Certification (DOT) preferred, along with a valid Forklift Operator License.
