Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team at JKV. As a key member of our housekeeping and floor maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform floor maintenance activities, including buffing, stripping, waxing, and cleaning various floor surfaces.
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpet, buff hard floors, and maintain hallways and common areas.
  • Operate heavy machinery, such as auto scrubbers and carpet extractors, to strip wax floors.
  • Keep premises clean and in orderly condition, performing general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Assist residents and colleagues with work orders and provide excellent customer service.
  • Transport cleaning products, tools, and equipment as required.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, assessing malfunctions and reporting issues to maintenance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of previous floor maintenance experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
  • Beginner-level keyboarding skills and Microsoft Office Outlook software knowledge required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, carry 30 lbs 300 feet, and perform other physical demands as outlined in the job description.
Working Conditions

The Floor Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, exposed to various environmental conditions, including noise, vibrations, and atmospheric conditions. The associate may be required to function in close quarters, crawl spaces, and other small areas.
