Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures and be responsible for exam protocols that provide diagnostic information to the interpreting physician.
- Assume the responsibility for specified examinations and be responsible for introducing the basics of ultrasound to student technologists.
- Be responsible for assessment, treatment, and care of patients of all ages.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of patients' needs.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- Associate Degree.
- Diplomatic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
