Job Title: Advanced Practice Nurse (PMHNP)

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our team at Mental Health Cooperative. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing primary care services to clinic patients, including prescribing, dispensing, or transmitting medications in accordance with standardized procedures and current state regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Under physician direction, provide primary care services to clinic patients, including prescribing, dispensing, or transmitting medications.
  • Provide general counseling, guidance, and health instructions to individual patients and family members.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings as required.
  • Assist in organizing and implementing appropriate quality assurance activities.
  • Seek supervision from supervising MD as appropriate.
  • Function as part of a team in the provision of patient-care and performance of daily activities.
  • Perform physical examinations utilizing designated employer examination guidelines.
  • Participate in teaching activities as appropriate.
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner that is consistent with agency standards.
Requirements:
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Nurse Practitioner Training Program (PMHNP certified).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the consumer group(s) served.
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License.
  • Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation.
  • Cell Phone.
