Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dietary services to meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Lead by example and demonstrate personal accountability for performance to ensure quality food service
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in the dietary department
  • Serve meals as needed, ensuring they are presentable and palatable
  • Ensure that all ordered items are available and prepared
  • Adhere to unit standards of dress and attend all scheduled meetings and mandatory competency training
  • Display service excellence by practicing the mission and values of the organization to promote resident satisfaction
  • Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and practices to ensure quality job performance and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain effective communication with management regarding all situations
  • Keep areas clean and sanitary, and monitor dining areas prior to and after meals to ensure cleanliness
  • Restock condiments and monitor beverage supplies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 16 years old
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and speak in sentences
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and count

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service

Physical Demands:

This position requires a full range of body motions, including constant walking, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and standing. The associate will be required to sit for up to one hour a day, stand for four to six hours a day, and walk for one hour a day. The individual must be able to lift twenty to fifty pounds and reach work above the shoulders. The individual must have good eye-hand coordination and fine finger dexterity for simple grasping tasks. The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.
