Job Summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Representative. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets and directs visitors entering the Center for Student Engagement, ensuring a positive first impression of the University.
  • Handles incoming calls and responds to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manages the lobby area, including maintaining a clean and organized space.
  • Assists with daily tasks, such as replacing copier paper, cleaning, and handling conference reservations.
  • Provides accurate and detailed information about the Center for Student Engagement to callers and visitors.
  • Distributes mail to appropriate mailboxes and contacts package recipients.
  • Checks out and checks in club resources to clubs and organizations.
  • Assists administrative staff with work overflow, including special events, campus errands, data entry, and internet research.
  • Maintains the appearance of the Center for Student Engagement, including furniture, whiteboard walls, and kitchen.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be enrolled and in good standing as an undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno.
  • Candidate must have and maintain a 2.75 GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of 30 credits per academic school year at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Work Schedule

Flexible schedule Monday through Friday, between hours of 7:45am and 8:00pm. Availability on some Saturdays.

Compensation

Student Employee Level 1, $12.00/hr.
