At Highway Inn, our cashier and take-out team members play a crucial role in shaping our guests' experiences, whether they are interacting over the phone or processing take-out orders.

These individuals maintain composure in busy situations, adeptly managing both phone and face-to-face communications while warmly welcoming our arriving guests.

The perfect candidate will possess a foundational knowledge of Hawaiian cuisine and culture, demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities, and exude a friendly demeanor that embodies the spirit of aloha and 'ohana central to our establishment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests with warmth and aloha, whether on the phone or in person.
  • Provide accurate information and address inquiries related to catering services, frozen food shipping, reservation bookings, loyalty programs, and general restaurant details such as parking and operating hours.
  • Efficiently process transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring correct change is given and confirming order accuracy with customers during the transaction.
  • Simultaneously handle incoming phone orders, online requests, walk-in take-out orders, and third-party delivery services.

Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in customer service or a similar role, with a preference for experience in cashiering and POS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Capacity to stand and/or walk for extended periods, read the POS screen, and communicate effectively in a lively environment.
- Ability to lift 20-25 pounds with or without assistance.
