Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is seeking a skilled Baler Operator to work in our North Canton warehouse.

This is a full-time Monday - Friday dayshift schedule 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

In this role, you will operate a baling machine to compact textiles, ensuring efficient and safe operation. You will also be responsible for moving lb. gaylord boxes from the warehouse to the baler area and moving compacted bales to the shipping area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load baler in a manner that is highly efficient and safe
  • Ensure that only appropriate textile pieces are being baled by removing other items
  • Work with the lead baler to maintain equipment, reports, and quality of bales
  • Keep baler room, dock area, and warehouse clean, orderly, and always operating safely
  • Adhere to agency safety/security policies, procedures, and practices
  • Place specific trash in a regular or metal dumpster or compactor as designated

Requirements:

  • Tow motor experience preferred
  • Ability to judge distance, speed, and movement of objects

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, bilateral reaching all levels: bilateral handling and fingering, fine fingering and simple grasping ability
  • Occasional sitting and kneeling
  • Frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs., occasional lift/carry lbs.

Safety toe footwear is preferred but not required. This is a safety-sensitive position which is subject to random drug testing. Goodwill is an equal opportunity employer.
