Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced general surgeon to join our private practice in a scenic location near Lake Livingston and the Sam Houston National Forest. Our practice offers a unique opportunity for a surgeon to work in a relaxed environment with a manageable call schedule.

Practice Details:

  • Two private practice general surgeons with a focus on general surgery and bariatric procedures
  • Scopes and basic bariatric sleeves a plus, with one surgeon performing low-risk bariatric procedures
  • Center of excellence certification discontinued but may be revived
  • Only 7 days required call per month
  • Clinic sits across the street from the hospital campus
  • 5 OR Rooms
  • Anesthesia team consisting of 2-MD's and up to 5 CRNA's
  • One endoscopy suite with no GI services in the community
  • Level 4 trauma designation
  • Hospital EMR is Meditech, with a planned transition to Medhost
