Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts all imaging examinations as prescribed by the physician, including both standard and specialized procedures.
- Maintains accurate records of all imaging procedures performed.

- Completes all diagnostic imaging procedures thoroughly.
- Adheres to departmental standards for radiation protection using lead garments.
- Assists physicians with both non-invasive and invasive imaging procedures as required.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient care practices.
- Exhibits competence in patient handling and body mechanics.
- Maintains a compassionate and attentive demeanor, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
- Evaluates patient needs and plans imaging requirements accordingly.
- Handles various clerical tasks related to imaging procedures.
- Ensures accurate communication of pertinent information to colleagues and medical providers.
- Confirms that each image contains correct patient identification.
- Communicates reports as necessary.
- Accurately charges for imaging services rendered.
- Maintains the physical environment of the imaging department.
- Keeps equipment, workspaces, and examination rooms clean and prepared for use.
- Ensures adequate supplies are available in examination and work areas.
- Reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
- Demonstrates professional clinical knowledge in patient care.
- Adjusts care and treatment based on the patient's developmental stage.
- Assesses the patient's understanding and modifies care as needed.
- Provides information to patients and families about the imaging environment and procedures.
- Obtains necessary supplies and equipment based on patient size.
- Recognizes age-related changes in patients, such as vision and hearing issues.
- Evaluates physical limitations in elderly patients.
- Adjusts medication dosages as appropriate for age considerations.
- Follows established guidelines during assignments.
- Accepts tasks with a positive attitude.
- Prioritizes workload to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Seeks clarification on assignments when necessary.
- Provides supervisors with updates on assignment status.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
- Valid WA State Radiology Technologist License, or CT certification along with an American Heart Association BLS Card.
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of imaging equipment and standard procedures in a hospital imaging department is essential.
- Ongoing education is required; ability to perform x-ray, CT, and/or mammography procedures is necessary.
- Familiarity with Quality Control, MQSA Requirements, FDA Inspections, and ACR Accreditation is advantageous.
- Experience with implant patients is also beneficial. A solid understanding of quality control tests is required.
- Documentation of at least 200 mammograms completed within a 24-month period is necessary if mammography is a secondary modality for Tech II qualification.
