Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers.
  • Complete paperwork and perform customer service duties at the store level.
  • Adhere to company policies and departmental guidelines.
  • Utilize electronic logging devices to meet hours of service requirements set by the Department of Transportation.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A driver's license with no DOT restrictions.
  • 21 years or older to drive a company vehicle.
  • Excellent customer relations and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write to complete paperwork accurately.
  • Ability to work safely in all aspects of daily requirements in the truck and at the customer location, complying with all DOT regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CDL A license required; DOT certified.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Accredited truck driving school preferred.
  • 1-2 years truck driving experience required.
  • Customer service and reefer experience preferred.
Working Conditions:

This position requires driving during overnight hours and is continually exposed to dust, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, and equipment movement hazard.

There is significant work pace/pressure to deliver product in a timely manner.
