Job Summary

As a key member of the Channahon School District 17 team, we are seeking a reliable and organized individual to fill the role of Cafeteria Safety Specialist. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students during lunch periods and recess. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role
The Cafeteria Safety Specialist will supervise the cafeteria and lunch recess areas to ensure student safety and well-being. Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising students during lunch periods and recess
• Maintaining accurate attendance records
• Reporting any incidents or concerns to classroom teachers
• Assisting with setup and breakdown of lunch areas
• Performing basic cleaning duties in the lunchroom
• Collaborating with school personnel to ensure student safety

Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have a high school diploma and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. A background in education or a related field is preferred but not required.

Benefits
