We are currently seeking a Medical Director to lead our healthcare team at a correctional facility.

Position Overview:
The Site Medical Director is responsible for overseeing the medical operations at their designated facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. This role involves leadership in administrative functions, clinical program development, quality assurance, and staff training, all aligned with the corporate mission of Wexford Health Sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in direct patient care and clinical responsibilities
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including the Regional Medical Director and facility administrators
- Identify and address operational and clinical challenges
- Lead the evaluation of chronic illness management programs
- Participate in quality improvement committees
- Oversee Utilization Management initiatives
- Ensure proper orientation and training for medical staff
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Work Environment:
This position is set within a standard medical environment in a correctional facility, requiring regular interaction with inmates, correctional personnel, and healthcare staff.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid state MD license
- Current CPR certification required
- Graduate of an accredited medical school; preference for candidates interested in advanced degrees in Medical Management or Business Administration
