Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at POAH Communities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain the condition of apartment properties throughout the community, identifying and addressing any unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on all necessary equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs, utilizing your knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed to a high standard, meeting the needs of our residents and staff.
  • Assist in keeping grounds neat and clean, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, and shoveling as necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and regulations.
  • HVAC certification is preferred, but not required.
  • A valid Driver's License and automobile insurance coverage, as use of personal vehicles may be required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call shifts as necessary.
  • Knowledge and skills in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require being on feet, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder level, climbing ladders, grasping, gripping, turning, and lifting/carrying up to 75lbs.
