As a member of our Behavioral Care Team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional behavioral health care to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients presenting with various mental health concerns
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, utilizing screening tools and diagnostic criteria
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring efficacy and side effects
- Provide patient education on medication regimens, potential side effects, and adherence strategies
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other treatment team members to ensure coordinated care
- Active certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from a nationally recognized accrediting body/license in state of practice
- Board Certification as a PMHNP-BC
- Current and active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
- Experience working with a wide range of clinical presentations
- Ability to provide psychiatric assessment and diagnostic skills
- 2+ years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing in an outpatient setting
- Expertise in treatment of substance addiction and co-occurring disorders
- Experience working with patients in different age groups, including older adults
