Job Description

We are seeking an EHS Specialist to join our team in the Scientific Insourcing Services department. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct monthly safety surveys and track survey data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and injuries, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead management of change meetings with client contacts and provide EHS updates to committees as needed.
  • Perform hazard reviews, including pre- and post-work, and identify processes that require a hazard review.
  • Participate in monthly Tech Forum Lab Safety meetings and provide respirator fit tests.
  • Conduct machine guarding assessments and provide lab commissioning support.
  • Maintain active communication with customer personnel and provide technical support for lab moves and exiting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • EHS and/or Chemistry experience, 1+ year preferred.
  • OSHA 30 and/or Hazwoper 40, preferred.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities, develop plans to close gaps, and track improvement initiatives to closure.
  • Risk analysis skills and ability to communicate risks and methods to reduce risk.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work effectively.
