The Department of Management in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech seeks a tenure-track faculty position to begin August 2024. This position is for the main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia, with opportunities for teaching and program development in the Greater Washington D.C. area.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates should have a doctorate in Management, Entrepreneurship, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited or similar school. A strong program of scholarly research with evidence of high impact scholarly research through publications or advanced stage under review in top journals is required. A clear research plan and trajectory in entrepreneurship or related areas, as well as instructional capabilities at the undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral levels, are also essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have research at the intersection of technology entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic management. Overlap of research interests with those of the current faculty in the department, demonstrated teaching effectiveness, and work experience in entrepreneurship, management consulting, managerial analytics, or related areas are also desirable.

The Department of Management consists of 30 full-time faculty with an impressive range of leading-edge research and teaching expertise in various areas of management. Our current faculty have published recently in top journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of International Business Studies.
