Clinical Staff Pharmacist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Fulton State Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide pharmaceutical care to forensic psychiatric inpatients, utilizing evidence-based guidelines and literature to inform your practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Supervise and utilize automation for dispensing activities, including Parata's ATP2 packager and InspectRx and TouchPoint Medical's MedDispense
  • Fulfill orders with accuracy and check technician-prepared products before release
  • Maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances
  • Enter orders and patient information with accuracy
  • Aid in the training of new staff and update the Director on daily pharmacy activities
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Missouri Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Completed PGY2 in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice and current Board Certification in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice
  • Recent work experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting with psychiatric patients
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills, verbal and written
