Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our Med Surg department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Nursing and Human Resources to interview, hire, orient, and terminate staff members.
  • Assign and direct day-to-day work activities, ensuring the functional and technical job performance of team members.
  • Manage staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and department requirements, working collaboratively with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
  • Oversee the quality of patient care, ensuring the delivery of individualized nursing care and reviewing incident reports to promote patient and staff safety.
  • Develop and implement education programs for staff, promoting learning opportunities and maximizing skills development.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and family members, responding to concerns and ensuring resolution and quality of care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or higher, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the discipline.
  • License in the State of North Dakota, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
