Position Overview:
The Agency Partnerships Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Feeding Southwest Virginia by fostering and nurturing robust connections with designated agency collaborators within the food bank's service region. This is achieved through structured communication, data management, site evaluations, and the enhancement of agency capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cultivate relationships with current agency partners while identifying potential new agencies to address food insecurity effectively.
• Collaborate with the Programs Team to ensure diverse food distribution resources are accessible in the communities served, including food pantries, emergency food box initiatives, and on-site meal services.
• Monitor adherence to the responsibilities outlined by Feeding Southwest Virginia, Feeding America, and USDA/VDACS, as applicable.

Essential Duties:
• Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with Feeding Southwest Virginia staff, agency partners, community organizations, and governmental representatives to provide support and ensure compliance.
• Stay informed and consistently apply the policies and procedures of Feeding Southwest Virginia and the Feeding America national office regarding compliance.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Feeding Southwest Virginia and its various programs.

Reporting Structure:
The Agency Partnerships Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Agency Partnerships and is instrumental in supporting the Programs Department.

Agency Development:
• Recruit and cultivate new agency partners by utilizing food insecurity data to pinpoint areas of high need.
• Provide information about Feeding Southwest Virginia and assess eligibility for becoming an agency partner.
• Conduct orientations, initial site assessments, and necessary training to ensure new agency partners comprehend their roles and responsibilities.

Relationship Management:
• Strengthen the bond between agency partners and Feeding Southwest Virginia through regular communication to understand their needs and challenges.
• Assist during food distributions, with agency approval, and nominate suitable agencies for capacity-building opportunities.
• Help organize and coordinate the annual agency conference.

Compliance Monitoring:
• Oversee and evaluate agencies within assigned service areas for performance and compliance.
• Ensure timely, complete, and accurate reporting.
• Update and maintain partner documentation, certifications, and training materials.

Training and Support:
• Provide annual training on TEFAP regulations, policies, contractual obligations, and civil rights laws to ensure agency compliance.
• Maintain organized agency partner files to meet the standards set by Feeding America and governmental organizations.

Administrative Duties:
• Uphold effective communication processes and administrative procedures.
• Support Feeding Southwest Virginia's special events, training, education, and capacity-building activities as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and/or two years of experience in a related field is required.
• Skills: High degree of professionalism, excellent organizational abilities, strong attention to detail, and a robust customer service ethic are essential. Candidates should be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Technical Proficiency:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Candidates should be capable of learning and independently operating necessary office equipment.

Licenses and Certificates:
• A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required. Candidates must maintain a safe driving record.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with the expectation of occasional evening and weekend work for special events.
