We are seeking a highly skilled Networks Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at the City of New Orleans, LA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our utility water distribution and wastewater collections systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water distribution and wastewater collections systems
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and ensure system integrity
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex maintenance and repair issues
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to optimize system performance
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A Louisiana driver's license
  • 4+ years of experience in maintenance and/or construction, preferably in utility water distribution and wastewater collections systems
  • Permanent status with the Sewerage and Water Board or equivalent experience
  • Successful completion of the Sewerage & Water Board structured on-the-job training (OJT) program for Networks Senior Maintenance Technician I
  • Completion of the following courses: Basic Math for Utilities Supervisors, Human Relations, Techniques of Good Customer Service, Effective People Skills, Introduction to Supervision, and Conflict Management
