Job Overview

The IT Support Technician will primarily oversee the management of the help desk ticketing system. Key responsibilities will also encompass inventory oversight, shipping and packing duties, responding to emergency help desk inquiries, assisting with Tier 1 ticket resolutions, and supporting the IT team with various projects and daily operations as required. Strong customer service abilities are essential, as this position involves direct interaction with internal staff and clients. While the majority of the technician's responsibilities will be performed at the main office, occasional travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist IT personnel as needed.
  • Address technical inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system to uphold service level agreements and ensure help desk availability.
  • Monitor and report statistics on issue and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with systems and network teams to resolve client issues.
  • Manage help desk phone line and triage inquiries as necessary.
  • Ensure proper delegation of tasks and timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Oversee asset management, including shipping and tracking.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A+ Certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT.
  • Experience with Citrix Xen Desktop is a plus but not essential.
  • Familiarity with cloning/imaging software for desktops and laptops.
  • Hands-on experience providing Level 1 support.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory or similar user management systems.
  • Ability to swiftly diagnose technical issues, both in-person and remotely.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comprehension of general networking administration and troubleshooting for Windows-based PCs.
