Job Description

Job Title: Dental Hygienist - Community Care Specialist

Job Summary:

  • Perform licensed hygiene procedures, educate patients, and manage the nonsurgical periodontal program as directed by the dentist.
  • Establish and maintain continued patient care relationships.
  • Verify and document patient health history.
  • Perform clinical hygiene functions, including numbing patients, taking and recording blood pressure.
  • Determine post-operative needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, fostering trust and open communication.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Dental hygiene certification from an accredited dental hygiene school.
  • Current hygiene license in the state of employment.
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training as required by law.
  • Experience with dental software.
