RN Charge Nurse

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Charge Nurse to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.

Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision and guidance to nursing staff in the Emergency Department.
- Assess patient care delivery and quality of care/documentation on a consistent basis.
- Direct staff members to make immediate changes in the plan of care, as appropriate to ensure patient safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Interview patients/families on admission and during rounds to enhance positive patient experiences.
- Perform direct patient care within scope of practice and clinical competency to ensure patient safety and patient/nurse ratios.
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting preferred.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certificate within 12 months of hire and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within 2 years of hire, preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

The current compensation range for this role is $51.08 to $68.67. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
