Production Inspector, 2nd Shift

Job Summary:
The Production Inspector will work from blueprints, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures to perform a wide range of complex inspection procedures and determine acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements at various stages of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process inspections and/or complete the final verification of end-item products.
- Perform inspection of manufacturing goods during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct dimensional and electrical inspection of sub-assemblies or final systems assemblies.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Interpret prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, wire cards, and lists in approving or rejecting in-process or final assemblies.
- May perform in-process inspections of rework items.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of Production experience in the essential functions of the position).
- Basic computer skills, including email.
- Basic ERP skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain J-Std and IPC certifications.
- May require flight critical certification.
- May be stationary for long periods of time.
- May lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily located in a manufacturing environment with moderate to significant noise and interruptions. The performance of work duties will require employees to be aware of possible hazards and safety precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
Eligibility Requirements:
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
