Senior Dentist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dentist to join our team at the State of Florida. As a Senior Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, and other dental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dental treatment services for eligible patients in accordance with all Federal and State laws and within the guidelines established by the State Health Office and the Dental Administrative offices.
• Diagnose and treat dental problems, including restorative procedures, oral surgery, and preventive services.
• Document all patient services and activities in the client record and service record.
• Administer local anesthesia and prescribe medications for treatment or prevention of dental infection and relief of dental pain.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, including peer review.

Requirements:

• Licensure as a Dentist in accordance with Chapter 466, Florida Statutes.
• Knowledge of the terminology, principles, and techniques of dentistry.
• Ability to perform dental examinations and diagnose dental problems.
• Ability to train others.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
