Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Position Overview:

This role is designed to assist the operations department with custodial responsibilities. The primary goal is to ensure the efficient and timely cleaning of facilities, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dust and clean desks, chairs, counters, blinds, and furniture.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lobby, reception area, and other designated spaces as assigned by management.
  • Perform dusting and vacuuming tasks.
  • Conduct spot cleaning as required.
  • Restock supplies and maintain dispensers.
  • Empty trash bins and recycling containers.
  • Spot mop floors when necessary.
  • Wipe down tables and seating areas.
  • Assist other custodial staff with special projects and follow directives from supervisors.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals in accordance with established protocols.
  • Attendance and punctuality are critical, as this role involves direct interaction with others.
  • Adhere to company health and safety guidelines and wear protective gear as needed.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of standard cleaning practices, techniques, and equipment is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets (SDS), operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Capable of following written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are highly desirable.
  • Must work well in a team-oriented setting, maintain a positive demeanor, and assist the team in achieving objectives.
  • Utilize logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches to challenges.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, supervisors, and colleagues are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service focus are required.
  • Must demonstrate effective communication in English with at least 70% comprehension.
