Job Title: Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate

Chenega Professional Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team at Altus AFB, OK. As a key member of our Family Advocacy Program, you will play a critical role in providing support and resources to victims of domestic abuse.

Job Summary:

The Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate will provide 24/7 response to victims alleging domestic abuse, establishing safety plans, and collaborating with treatment managers and mental health providers to ensure the victim's safety and well-being. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency response and support to victims of domestic abuse
  • Establish and maintain safety plans for victims
  • Collaborate with treatment managers and mental health providers to ensure victim safety
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent domestic violence
  • Provide education and awareness about domestic violence and its impact on families
  • Support victims in accessing resources and services
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with victims of domestic abuse or trauma
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
