As a vital member of our team, our Metal Fabrication Technicians are responsible for crafting and assembling sheet metal components to produce high-quality HVAC duct systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Choose appropriate gauges and types of sheet metal or alternative materials based on project specifications.
  • Utilize machinery to cut, shape, and form sheet metal, including tools such as rollers, shears, and plasma cutters.
  • Drill and create holes in metal for various components including electrical parts and fasteners.
  • Secure seams and joints using welding, bolting, or other fastening methods to assemble or repair sheet metal products.
  • Refine and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled components using hand tools and power tools.
  • Finish parts with hand tools, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Design and lay out patterns to optimize material usage.
  • Insulate ductwork effectively using adhesive and specialized tools.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment, making necessary repairs and adjustments.

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
Ability to stand for extended periods while performing fabrication tasks.
Frequent reaching and handling of tools and machinery is necessary.
Occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds is required.
