Hanson Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Austin or Corpus Christi, Texas. As a key member of our water/wastewater discipline, you will be responsible for designing water and wastewater infrastructure from concept to permitting, plan and specification production, and construction contract administration.
Key Responsibilities- Design water distribution and wastewater collection systems
- Perform calculations to size those systems
- Design pump stations for potable water, wastewater, and stormwater applications
- Collaborate with senior technical staff to prepare calculations, quantity take-offs, and opinions of probable construction costs
- Develop and implement water and wastewater treatment processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry innovations and bring the latest technological advances into our engineering analyses
- Bachelor's degree in civil or related engineering field
- Strong technical skills in water and wastewater collection/distribution systems, pump hydraulics, and treatment design
- Minimum of 5 years of project experience with 5 to 10 years of experience preferred
- Texas P.E. required or ability to obtain through comity within 6 months of starting
