About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cartography and Data Analysis Expert to join our team at Oceaneering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and leveraging GIS resources to create maps and graphic reports, collecting and handling data, providing mapping services, performing technical research and analysis, and coordinating activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • GIS Resource Management: Manage and enhance the integrity of naval charts by processing and conducting quality control on incoming data, providing technical user support, verifying and fulfilling data requests and access requests for end users, and creating ad hoc charts and maps.
  • Data Analysis and Research: Analyze data for routine and ad hoc requests, troubleshoot and solve development issues as needed, and develop other documentation.
  • Technical Research: Perform technical research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a diverse team including software developers, network administrators, other cartographers, data and navigation analysts, implementation engineers, and management to achieve project goals.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Cartography, Computer Science, Geology, Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Physical Science, Urban and Regional Planning, or a related discipline. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 3 years of related experience and a strong programming background.

Estimated Salary Range:$90,000 - $105,000 per year
