Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic II is a skilled repair person responsible for maintaining equipment in the Regional Distribution Center (RDC). This role requires a strong understanding of RDC systems and building components, with a focus on complex repair capabilities in two specialty areas: conveyors, rolling stock, or building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain equipment in the RDC, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, determining the type of repair needed and prioritizing work
  • Obtain or order spare parts and execute repairs, working independently and safely
  • Mentor junior maintenance staff and seek assistance from the Maintenance Coach as needed

Requirements

  • 4 years of maintenance experience, with 2 years of experience in each of the two specialty areas
  • Experience repairing and providing technical training in standard electrical/electronic voltages (51-599) volt systems and above
  • Proven record of complying with safety requirements and ability to work safely with corrosive materials and at heights of 20+ feet
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a distribution/warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or technical school graduate
  • Experience and/or certification with welding and fabrication
  • Certification for electrical work and/or high voltage work
  • Experience operating various maintenance and operations vehicles and equipment
