Strategic Support Coordinator

As a Strategic Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our team by leading a shift of staff members and ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to motivate and support others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a Shift of Staff Members: You will be responsible for directing and motivating a team of support staff to perform their duties to the best of their ability.
- Provide Direct Support Services: You will work directly with residents to provide food, clothing, hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
- Develop and Maintain Relationships: You will build and maintain supportive relationships with residents, families, and guardians to ensure their needs are met.
- Monitor and Report Incidents: You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting any incidents or alleged abuse to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: An Associate's Degree and at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities are preferred.
- Certifications: AMAP certified or willing to obtain certification
- Background Checks: Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearances
Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $19.25-$21.25 per hour

About the Role:
This is a full-time position requiring a valid driver's license and good driving record. You will be required to attend a paid orientation in Red Hook and complete all necessary training and certifications.
