Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive thinking and maintaining a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
  • Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
  • Checking the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
  • Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
  • Processing guest registrations, including collecting payment.
  • Preparing express checkout folios.
  • Maintaining room status inventory.
  • Communicating all pertinent shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
  • Maintaining and cleaning the lobby and bathroom as needed.
  • Communicating all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Working closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
  • Answering inquiries about hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Explaining in-room and hotel features.
  • Completing all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
